We have put into place a number of precautions which we have highlighted on this page. We hope this may prepare you for when you visit us. Whilst things are not the same at the moment, we will do everything we can to help you access our services safely.
Patients will be asked to continue to wear masks and use the hand sanitiser provided and only attend alone. If you have any symptoms please let us know and we will gladly rearrange your appointment.
We are now also offering all patients, at time of booking, a full examination including OCT and optomap as using these technologies help us to keep close proximity to patients to a minimum which helps with our safety measures.
We are operating on an appointment only basis to control the number of people in the building
Please use the hand sanitisers provided on entering the practice
We have undertaken a deep clean of the practice before re-opening
We have undertaken a new risk assessment and trained our staff fully to social distancing and infection control
We have introduced a new hygiene schedule and would be grateful if visitors can adhere to it
Additional screens may be in place for eg reception for your protection
You will be asked to wear PPE on arrival at the practice and you may see our team wearing extra items of PPE. We have reusable masks (for a small fee) available for patients, if they don’t currently have one
We have introduced a regular touchpoint cleaning schedule to ensure safety
We are a local, independent family run practice.
We pride ourselves on treating each of our patients as an individual to tailor the best possible approach to meet your eye and vision needs.
At Earlam and Christopher Opticians and Optometrists we believe in providing our customers with professional and thorough eye health care.
