Our ethics work in line with Vision Aid Overseas who are an international charity dedicated to fighting poverty by transforming access to eye care in developing countries. 670 million people – 10% of the world’s population – are disadvantaged by poor vision and a lack of spectacles.
Vision Aid Overseas was founded in 1985. For over 28 years we have been helping some of the poorest people in the world gain better sight. Whether they are a teacher in Ghana, a seamstress in Zambia, or a school pupil in India, deteriorating sight can have a devastating impact on people’s lives and livelihoods.
“Since our foundation in 1985, Vision Aid Overseas has worked in 26 countries and helped over 1 million patients to see.” – Vision Aid Overseas
